Adult Education
Our adult education classes are designed for parishioners interested in enriching their knowledge of their faith and for those wishing to become members of our Church. Currently we offer a weekly Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm as well as a regular book discussion group. During Great Lent, Bible Study goes on hiatus. Please check our calendar for the most up to date schedule of classes.
On Wednesday evenings during Great Lent, we have our Lenten discussions. This year starting on March 5th we will discuss the book The Scent of Holiness. The evening starts with the Liturgy of Presantified Gifts at 6:00pm, followed by a pot luck dinner at 7:00pm and our book discussion in the Taverna. We will discuss a couple of chapters every week. Even if you do not read the book, you are welcome and encouraged to attend the discussions. The discussions indeed address topics from the book, but are always expanded in order to enrich and edify those wishing to learn more about Orthodox Christianity.
For those interested in learning more about Orthodox Christianity, catechism classes can be scheduled by arrangement. For more information please see our Church Calendar, Bulletin, Glad Tidings Newsletter or contact our Church Office (716) 882-9485.
